Breathe Balloon

Privacy policy

Last updated: 28 October 2026 · Deutsche Version

In short. Breathe Balloon collects no data. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no subscription, and the app makes no network connections. Everything happens on your device. Only if you allow it, the app adds your practice time to Apple Health as mindful minutes; it never reads health data. The provider runs no server the app talks to.

What stays on your device

Settings
Your choices in the app, such as the session length, your custom rhythm, the resonance breathing rate, whether music and signals are switched on, the chosen music track and the appearance (System, Light or Dark), are kept in the app’s settings on your device. They are not synced or uploaded by the app. Like other app data they can be part of your device backup (iCloud or computer) if you have backups switched on. Deleting the app removes them.
Sessions
A running session is timed on your device. The app itself keeps no history of your sessions and no statistics about your breathing. If you have connected Apple Health, your practice time is kept there (see below).
Music and signals
Music and tones are part of the app and are played on your device. Nothing is streamed or downloaded.
Lock screen and Control Center
While a session runs, the app hands the current phase and the time left to iOS so they can be shown on the lock screen and in Control Center. This stays on your device.

Apple Health

Breathe Balloon can save the time you practise as mindful minutes in Apple Health. This is optional; the app works the same without Apple Health.

No network connections

Breathe Balloon works fully offline and makes no network connections of its own. There is no backend, no account and no cloud sync.

No third parties

The app contains no analytics tools, no advertising networks and no third-party crash reporters. There is no tracking in the sense of Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework.

What Apple collects

Downloads from the App Store and TestFlight go through Apple. Which data Apple processes is determined by Apple; Apple’s privacy policy applies. If you agree to share analytics in your device settings, the provider can see aggregated, non-personal figures about installations and crashes from Apple. They do not allow conclusions about individual people.

This website

This website is separate from the app. It sets no tracking cookies, uses no analytics and loads nothing from other servers – no external fonts, scripts or embedded content. If you pick a language from the menu, it remembers that choice in a cookie called lang for one year. To deliver the pages, the web server processes your IP address and the requested page; this is technically necessary (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Your rights

The GDPR gives you rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection. Since the provider processes and stores no personal data through this app, there is nothing to provide information about or to delete. Your settings are on your device and disappear completely when you delete the app. You manage entries in Apple Health yourself in the Health app.

For questions or complaints, contact the controller at the address above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

Changes

If something changes in the app that affects this policy, it will be updated here. The date at the top shows the current version.
